Great article!
I find that gardening helps me feel better both physically and mentally. I love this time of year and my husband, who I care for 24/7, does too. He has a type of dementia and he still likes to watch me work and he likes to see what I've done. Even if we just sit on the porch it can be invigorating from a long winter being cooped up indoors. We also have a small swimming pool that he can't get in anymore, but just looking at it helps cool us off. I only close the windows and turn on the AC when it gets unbearably hot and humid and we enjoy hearing the birds and feeling the breezes.
